IDC flat  cable production process flow

1.Material preparation

The production of IDC flat  cable requires the preparation of materials such as copper wire, insulation layer, braided layer, injection molded parts, etc.

2.Twisted wire

Twist the prepared copper wire using the prescribed twisting method and twisting machine to ensure sufficient tension and avoid poor contact caused by loose copper wire during subsequent production.

3. Weaving

After being twisted, the copper wire will appear thicker. At this time, it is necessary to wrap the braided layer around the copper wire, usually using a professional braiding machine. After braiding, the wear resistance and strength of the flat wire will be greatly improved.

4. Peel off the skin

The woven flat wire needs to strip off a layer of insulation and expose the core.

5.Plug assembly

Install plugs at both ends of the flat wire and inject injection molded parts to form a secure connection

6.Testing

After the plug assembly is completed, testing is required, mainly including connectivity testing, wear resistance testing, bending testing, etc.
